Space requirement:-

Age of bird in Days Area per bird in Sq.ft 0 to 10 days           0.25 sq.ft / bird. 11 to 20 days 0.35 sq.ft / bird. 21 to 30 days 0.45 sq.ft / bird. 31 to 40 days 0.60 sq.ft / bird. 41 to 50 days 0.75 sq.ft / bird. 51 to 60 days 0.90 sq.ft / bird.

Medication:-

Age Medication Available Brands Dose Remark 1st day. Electrolytes. Venlyte/ Amlyte/Electrocare/ Electral.  1gm/lit. Medicines which are recommended per litre, it means dose of medicines is to be added as per requirement of water by birds. Medicines recommended for 100 bird basis it means medicine is to be added only once in a day on number of bird basis.  Antistress Vitamins.  Amvitone/ Stresswell/ Vimeral.  5ml/100 chicks.  Antibiotic.    Amclox/Vendox Enrocin/ Restrict L/ Superstart WS.  Dose as per manufacturer.   Jaggery.   -   1gm/lit. 2nd Day. Antistress Vitamins. As per day one.   -     - Antibiotic. Antibiotic given on first day should be continued in same dose. - 3rd&4th day. Same as 2nd day dosing         5th to 7th day.   No medication. - - If any mortality then contact on cell no. 9423492238. for necessary advice. 8th day. Lasota Vaccine.     -     -     1 drop to be given intra ocular or intra nasal. Vaccine to be kept in cold chain. Antistress vitamin (AD₃EC) - ml/100 birds.   9th to 14th day. No medication.       15th day. IBD vaccine(Gumboro vaccine)     Strain to be decided as per located area of farm with consultation of companys technical consultant. Cell no 9423492238.  Antistress vitamin (AD₃EC)     16th to 20th day. Livertonic. Brotone/Toxolivum/ Uplivefirte. 10ml/100 birds. - 19th day.   Jaggery.     -     2gm/lit.   Touching of beak. If debeaking machine is not available then nail-cutter can be used to cut 1/3rd portion of upper beak.   Vit K.   Kaysol.   5gm/100 birds. 21thto 27th day. - - - Medication only if needed as per companys expert consultant. 28th day. Lasota Booster dose. Venkys/Indovax/ Abies. - 1) Strain as per consultants advise.   2) To be done in cool hours of day.   3) Avoid using water sanitizer in drinking water to be used for vaccination.   4) Stop drinking water 2 hrs prior to booster vaccination.   5) Add 8gms of skimmed milk powder per litre of water & add vaccine in cold water as per number of birds.   Give Vit. AD3EC dose after consumption of vaccine added water. 29th day to 60th day. No Medication.     If birds are to be kept for backyard laying purpose then consult companys consultant on 50th day for fowl fox, R2B, ND Killed & other vaccination programme.

Important tip:-

Cleanliness and hygienic approach is basic need. Prevention is better than cure. Try to understand behavioral changes in bird -> be a keen observer. Water sanitization: - water sanitization is must from day one upto saling. Take experts advice for its type and quantity.
